PreOrder Guard — Privacy Policy

What this app is

PreOrder Guard lets a merchant sell an incoming shipment as a preorder using Shopify's native selling plans, and computes a safe preorder cap so the store does not promise more units than it can deliver. It is installed by a merchant on their Shopify store.

What data we access

With the merchant's permission the app reads product, variant, inventory and location data, and order line quantities, in order to forecast demand and calculate a safe cap. It reads these in real time to render the merchant's dashboard.

What we store

We store only the merchant's own configuration: the preorder plan for each variant (cap, restock date, status), a review-prompt counter, and the Shopify session record needed to keep the app installed. We do not store customer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, payment details, or any other customer personal data.

Data retention and deletion

When a merchant uninstalls the app we remove the shop's stored records. We also honour Shopify's mandatory data-request, customer redaction and shop redaction webhooks.

Third parties

We do not sell, rent or share merchant or customer data with third parties. Data is processed only to provide the app's functionality.
